In February 2020 it opened its doors for the first 200 students in grades 7 and 8.  Each year they will add another grade through grade 12.
  • Goal: 99% of all maternal deaths occur in developing nations, according to the World Health Organization. This is due to numerous challenges including the distance to the nearest birthing center, costs associated with delivery, the requirement to bring your own supplies (baby blanket, sanitary pads, and in some cases your own rubber gloves), and the limited amount of staff to serve the needs. Goal Cost: Partner: Sewing Hope Foundation, Loft + Manor Impact:
    1. To increase safe deliveries through the donation of birthing bags (including baby blanket, wash basin, and supplies for sanitary pads) to local hospitals and birthing centers in Northern Uganda.
    2. To empower vulnerable women at St. Monica’s Vocational School by using their newly acquired sewing training to produce bags and blankets.
    3. To educate women participating in the project through an Adult Literacy Program.
    4. To create both a recurring revenue and sustainable model for Pipeline Worldwide and Sewing Hope Foundation.
  • Goal: The combined medical, water, and power system in the Ayillo refugee settlement, is a prototype of a comprehensive solution for a turnkey infrastructure. Through a partnership with ASU, Medical Teams International and Pipeline Worldwide, this container was installed in a location that will provide significant benefit to a deserving and resource-constrained population for years to come.  Partner: Arizona State University, Medical Teams International Impact:
    1. Clean drinking water through UV sterilization.
    2. Improved and expanded vaccine refrigeration capabilities.
    3. A new electric vaccine refrigerator and power to the onsite staff housing
    4. Over 10,000 watts of electrical power capacity with 60,000 watt-hours of battery storage.
    5. Expanded medical clinic space
    6. A 5-year maintenance warranty
    7. A remote monitoring platform for the power system.   All these services have improved the life of thousands of Sudanese refugees.
  • Goal: According to Medical Teams International’s December 2019 staff housing study, 282 healthcare workers are serving 129,418 refugees in the Palorinya settlement in Moyo.  Of those 282 healthcare workers, only 40 of them have been provided permanent housing.  The remaining 242 healthcare workers are living in inadequate housing (tents or semi-permanent structures). In order to address this situation, Pipeline Worldwide has addressed this problem by creating the Battle of the Boxes competition. Three teams each consisting of a developer, architecture firm, construction contractor, engineering firm, university and healthcare organization. Has converted a 40' shipping container into housing that will sleep 6. It will also come fully furnished with solar power, mattresses, bedding, lighting, desk chairs, and mosquito nets. The idea was to develop 3 different prototypes and train a local team on how to convert these containers using local materials with a $15,000 budget.  These 3 prototypes will be shipped to the Palorinya settlement where 18 healthcare workers will have permanent housing.  After performance evaluation, our goal will be to build container housing for the remaining healthcare workers who are living in inadequate housing. Goal Cost:  Partner: Medical Teams International Impact: Besides providing permanent housing for 18 healthcare workers, Pipeline Worldwide will also be providing a housing prototype that is affordable, sustainable and desirable to live in.  Additionally it will empower local trades and contractors for ongoing projects.  The biggest impact will be Medical Team International’s ability to attract and retain quality healthcare workers who will improve the health and wellbeing of refugees in Palorinya.
  • Goal: Due to the influx of refugees, the number of boda boda (motorcycle) accidents, and other trauma injuries, the need to support increased trauma in northern Uganda is a high priority.  St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor employs one of the two orthopedic surgeons who serve 4,000,000 people.  The SIGN Fracture Care initiative provides training and a lifetime of nails (implants) to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor. Goal Cost: Partner: St. Mary's Hospital Lacor Impact: When a person living in a low- or middle-income country breaks an arm or leg, it can easily send their whole family spiraling into poverty—a breadwinner can’t work, a student can’t go to school, and a caregiver can’t provide for their family. SIGN Surgery enables a patient with a fractured bone to walk in 1 day, leave the hospital in 1 week, and be back at work in 1 month. SIGN Supporters enable us to donate surgical instruments and implants at no cost to hospitals or patients, so that every person who needs healing surgery can access it.  Dr. Sylvester has already attended training and has performed 20 SIGN Fracture Care surgeries.  He estimates that he will average 60-80 surgeries each year.  Prior to SIGN Fracture Care only 7% of tibia fractures, 0% of humerus fractures, and 57% of femur fractures were treated.
