  • Goal: The combined medical, water, and power system in the Ayillo refugee settlement, is a prototype of a comprehensive solution for a turnkey infrastructure. Through a partnership with ASU, Medical Teams International and Pipeline Worldwide, this container was installed in a location that will provide significant benefit to a deserving and resource-constrained population for years to come.  Partner: Arizona State University, Medical Teams International Impact:
    1. Clean drinking water through UV sterilization.
    2. Improved and expanded vaccine refrigeration capabilities.
    3. A new electric vaccine refrigerator and power to the onsite staff housing
    4. Over 10,000 watts of electrical power capacity with 60,000 watt-hours of battery storage.
    5. Expanded medical clinic space
    6. A 5-year maintenance warranty
    7. A remote monitoring platform for the power system.   All these services have improved the life of thousands of Sudanese refugees.
  • Goal: To design a clinic from a 40’ container that will support a refugee settlement in Northern Uganda. Cost: $30,000
  • Goal: To develop both a 5-year sustainable food plan and provide supplemental support during the implementation. Cost: $25,000
  • Goal: According to Medical Teams International’s December 2019 staff housing study, 282 healthcare workers are serving 129,418 refugees in the Palorinya settlement in Moyo.  Of those 282 healthcare workers, only 40 of them have been provided permanent housing.  The remaining 242 healthcare workers are living in inadequate housing (tents or semi-permanent structures). In order to address this situation, Pipeline Worldwide has addressed this problem by creating the Battle of the Boxes competition. Three teams each consisting of a developer, architecture firm, construction contractor, engineering firm, university and healthcare organization. Has converted a 40' shipping container into housing that will sleep 6. It will also come fully furnished with solar power, mattresses, bedding, lighting, desk chairs, and mosquito nets. The idea was to develop 3 different prototypes and train a local team on how to convert these containers using local materials with a $15,000 budget.  These 3 prototypes will be shipped to the Palorinya settlement where 18 healthcare workers will have permanent housing.  After performance evaluation, our goal will be to build container housing for the remaining healthcare workers who are living in inadequate housing. Goal Cost:  Partner: Medical Teams International Impact: Besides providing permanent housing for 18 healthcare workers, Pipeline Worldwide will also be providing a housing prototype that is affordable, sustainable and desirable to live in.  Additionally it will empower local trades and contractors for ongoing projects.  The biggest impact will be Medical Team International’s ability to attract and retain quality healthcare workers who will improve the health and wellbeing of refugees in Palorinya.
  • Project Goal: Provide six pit latrines to Canon Abuc Memorial Primary School Cost: $8,000 Purpose/Benefit: Pipeline Worldwide is working to provide safe and accessible drinking water and other catalyst WASH resources to communities in Uganda. The project focuses on implementing relational solutions that help Ugandans sustainably pull themselves out of poverty.  The latrines for Canon Abuc will enhance sanitation and overall hygiene, for the 100 students who live and learn on campus.
  • Project Goal: Complete two duplexes to house four Batwa Tribe families

    Cost: $8,700

Purpose/Benefit: CARSA sees a society where genocide survivors and their direct offenders are reconciled -- where peace and unity flourish above all. This seemingly impossible reality is occurring through CARSA’s various initiatives that address the holistic needs of reconciliation and healing in post-genocide Rwanda. CARSA exists to reconnect genocide victims and their offenders, empower youth for sustainable peace-building, empower communities out of poverty, and disciple children as followers of Christ. These duplexes will house four families from the Batwa Tribe.

  • Project Goal: To convert 40’ shipping container into a store Cost: $7,500 Purpose/Benefit:  The Project C.U.R.E. container that is being delivered to Moyo Hospital will be purchased and relocated at the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Moyo, Uganda.  It will be converted into a store that will be used by the school. The school just recently finished its first phase of construction. When completed, this school will serve 800+ students, most of whom are orphaned or from disadvantaged families. St. Thomas Aquinas College will supplement a traditional curriculum with vocational training, peace & conflict resolution, and moral and spiritual formation.

  • Project Goal: Provide 30 sewing machines and sanitary pad material for 250 girls Cost: $6,000 Purpose/Benefit: GUIU is a young-women-led organization working to provide young women and girls with opportunities to succeed and thrive as leaders in their slum communities through holistic education and economic empowerment that specifically addresses the cycle of poverty that leaves women economically dependent on men. The group facilitates a “Sewing Our Futures” project to enable disadvantaged young women to learn the skills necessary to become designers, tailors and seamstresses. With the guidance of a professional tailor, the women have begun to make fashionable dresses and accessories for local sale. The organization also offers training in reusable sanitary pad production to increase girls’ retention in school, along with overall health and hygiene.

  • Project Goal: To purchase a van for Moyo Babies’ Home Cost: $17,000 Purpose/Benefit: Many children and babies become orphaned during times of conflict and forced displacement.  The nature of the conflicts in northern Uganda and across the border in South Sudan have made it especially difficult to find relatives of lost and orphaned children.  Every child deserves a safe and loving environment to grow up in and that is exactly what Moyo Babies’ Home offers to hundreds of babies and children.    Recently their only vehicle which was over a decade old broke down.  Help us to purchase a new van to help transport babies to and from the local hospital and clinics.
